In this presentation, Dr. Benore addresses historical and scientific data and a critical review of newer methods of assessing and treating pain in children. He will review the current evidence base of biofeedback in children, and reflection on clinical protocols.

Participants will learn methods to critically examine historical evidence and empirical evidence. Participants will learn methods to educate children and families about pain and self-regulation. Participants will demonstrate and discuss the application of biofeedback and other self-regulation strategies in children. Participants will learn methods to critically examine their own clinical protocols and strengthen the field of applied clinical research, using pediatric pain as a case study.
